Shepherd’s Academy is grounded in historic, biblical Christianity. These beliefs shape everything we do, from how we teach to how we lead and disciple students.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came to earth, died for our sins, and rose again—and that all who trust in Him are forgiven, made new, and belong to Him.
The Bible is the inspired, true, and authoritative Word of God.
(2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 19:7–11; Hebrews 4:12)
God exists as one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, who lived without sin, died for our sins, rose again, and is the only way to salvation.
(John 1:1–14; Philippians 2:5–11; John 14:6)
Humanity is created in God’s image with dignity and purpose, yet fallen in sin.
(Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1–3)
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.
(Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 5:1; John 3:16–18)
The Holy Spirit transforms, guides, and empowers believers.
(John 16:7–15; Titus 3:5–6; Galatians 5:22–25)
The Church is the body of Christ, and believers are called to live in community.
(Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 4:11–16)
Marriage, family, and gender are defined by God.
(Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; 1 Corinthians 6:18–20)
Human life is sacred from conception to natural death.
(Genesis 9:6; Psalm 139:13–16)
Christian living means loving God, loving others, and pursuing holiness.
(Matthew 22:36–40; Romans 12; Galatians 5:22–23)
Christ will return, judge the world, and establish His Kingdom.
(Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18; Revelation 21:1–5)
Our mission is to make disciples.
(Matthew 28:18–20)
